With 'Arirang', their fifth studio album, BTS has claimed the top spot on numerous pivotal weekly music charts, both within South Korea and across the globe. This achievement highlights their unparalleled global appeal and the fervent adoration of their dedicated fanbase, known as ARMY.
In an announcement made by Hanteo Chart on the 30th, the sales monitoring organization noted that 'Arirang' not only seized the number one position on the weekly world chart but also led the album chart for the period from March 23 to 29. Remarkably, this accomplishment was achieved just three days following its release on March 20, and the album retained its leading position for two consecutive weeks, underscoring BTS's enduring influence.

Billboard, the esteemed American music publication, disclosed through a preview article on the 30th that 'Arirang' has captured the premier position on the renowned 'Billboard 200' chart, with an issue date of April 4. The album made an impressive entry with 641,000 album units sold, smashing records with the most significant weekly performance for a group album since the adoption of unit tracking in December 2014. Astonishingly, 532,000 of these units were accounted for by pure album sales, encompassing both physical and digital formats, setting a new benchmark for the highest weekly sales of a group album in over ten years.
BTS's worldwide dominance extends beyond album sales, as they have also conquered the charts of leading global music platforms. The group triumphed across Spotify's weekly charts from March 20 to 26, ranking at the summit of the 'Weekly Top Albums', 'Weekly Top Songs', and 'Weekly Top Artists' charts. In a notable feat, the album's title track, 'SWIM', clinched the number one position on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global', while all 14 tracks of the album secured their places within the top 30 positions.
On Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple Music's 'Top 100 Global', 'SWIM' steadfastly held the top spot for an impressive duration of nine days and seven days, respectively, from March 20 to 28 and March 23 to 29. Furthermore, each track from the album found its place in the latest chart rankings on both platforms. Even ten days post-release, the widespread popularity of all tracks, not just the title song, attests to the unwavering affection of music enthusiasts worldwide.
In parallel with their chart-topping success, BTS is set to embark on the much-anticipated 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG''. Scheduled to take place at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on April 9, 11, and 12, the tour promises to be a memorable spectacle. Their itinerary also includes monumental stadium concerts across South America in October, encompassing nations such as Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Demonstrating their extraordinary drawing power, all 46 performances, spanning from Goyang to North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, have been swiftly sold out, highlighting the unyielding demand for BTS's electrifying live performances.
